19th Annual Pharmacy Technician Conference on Oct 24 and 25, 2025
The Pharmacy Technician Society of British Columbia is proud to bring you the 18th annual BC Pharmacy Technician Conference, featuring dynamic speakers from diverse practice backgrounds with sessions relevant to technicians in all practice settings. Join us on October 25th and 26th, 2024 for educational sessions and networking with your colleagues from across the country!
Join us on Friday, October 25th for an exhibit and evening networking reception AND a fun and exciting entertainment experience. This will be an exciting, fun, and educational event. Be prepared to relax and laugh as you engage with exhibitors and expand your network with fellow colleagues.
Saturday, October 26th will be a full day of learning with presentations made by the College of Pharmacists of BC providing the latest news about BC pharmacy personnel. This will be a full day of learning ending with a keynote presentation.
Learning objectives of this conference is to:
- provide educational programming to delegates to advance clinical pharmacy practice
- increase knowledge of pharmacy technicians and assistants from all areas of practice in order to enhance the quality of pharmaceutical care provided to patients.
- Stay informed on with latest pharmaceutical trends.

Calling all Super Technicians! Have you participated in or led an extraordinary project; utilized best practice strategies to protect patients; taken the initiative with an idea to improve services for patients. We are pleased to announce that PTSBC will be hosting, a poster presentation session at the Annual Pharmacy Technician Conference. This contest provides an informal setting for you and your colleagues to share ideas, projects, best practice, and the impact they have on the delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients. All pharmacy personnel are invited and encouraged to participate. Submission deadline is 11:59pm, September 20th. Fresenius Kabi is generously sponsoring a cash prize of $500 which will be awarded for best poster. If you have any questions please contact PTSBC at info@ptsbc.org

PTSBC Member of the Year Award
Do you know a member who is making a difference in pharmacy practice, patient care or advocacy for Pharmacy Technicians? Maybe that Technician, is you? Submit an entry for yourself, Submit an entry for someone else. Candidates must be an active PTSBC member.
PTSBC would like to recognize a member for their commitment to professionalism through excellence in pharmacy practice. Nominate a Pharmacy Technician or Assistant who has taken pharmacy professionalism to the next level.
Professionalism can be displayed in any number of ways, and would include anything that contributes to enhancing the role of pharmacy technicians. Whether it is someone who inspires peers to raise standards and advance pharmacy technician practice, participates in the creation of educational opportunities and professional development that promote pharmacy technical practice, demonstrates leadership and excellence in work performance, promotes health and wellness in their community, utilizes pharmacy services to improve the health of patients, solves problems and creates new practice opportunities, or even someone who is passionate about the advancement of pharmacy technical practice, with active involvement in professional organizations that advances initiatives and advocates on behalf of the profession.
The PTSBC Director will announce the PTSBC Pharmacy Technician/Assistant Member of the Year. The honoree will receive:
- a $300 honorarium
- registration and accommodations to attend the next PTSBC Pharmacy Technician conference in October of the upcoming year.
This award would normally be presented at the Annual PTSBC Conference, however due the pandemic, the Director will send out a communication after our annual event.
