Brief Organization Description Vancouver Island University is a comprehensive teaching university with 13,000 students across four campuses. VIU's Faculty of Health Sciences and Human Services is seeking instructors to deliver clinical skills courses within the Pharmacy Technician diploma program at the Cowichan campus for July and August. This program is in partnership with Selkirk College, and instructors will be expected to work in collaboration with Selkirk College's Pharmacy Technician Program Coordinator for the duration of the courses.
Plan, prepare and instruct program courses; use creative adult learning strategies in the preparation and delivery of in-person clinical skills; assessment and evaluation of student learning; recording and submitting grades; providing support to students to ensure their success; working collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners.
Instructors may teach more than 1 course. Courses are as follows:
PTEC 220 - Technology for Product Distribution
PTEC 221 - Prescription Dispensing
PTEC 223 - Institutional Dispensing and Sterile Product Preparation
PTEC 224 - Non-Sterile Compounding
