Innomar Strategies offers pharmacy services for specialty medications through our pharmacy network located across Canada. Our pharmacies deliver medication directly to the patient’s home, or place of infusion/injection, such as their physician’s office or an InnomarClinic. 

We are hiring a Pharmacy Assistant for our pharmacy in Burnaby.

you will be responsible for supporting the Pharmacists and the Registered Pharmacy Technicians in the preparation of prescriptions, maintenance of drug inventory and cash control systems.

What You’ll Do:
  • Assist Pharmacist or the Registered Pharmacy Technician in labeling and filling/refilling prescriptions
  • Assist patients picking up prescriptions
  • Enter prescriptions into the computer; retrieve and/or correct data in computer
  • Verify that customer receives correct prescription(s)
  • Maintain pharmacy workflow
  • Screen telephone calls for the Pharmacist(s)
  • Order, maintain and prepare inventory of medications
  • Prepare and process billings, claims, disbursements and related documents
  • Review invoices or other documentation
  • Assist in dispensing of medication
  • Pack and ship prescription orders
  • Receive inventory

Qualifications
What You’ll Need:
  • Two or more years of related pharmacy experience
  • Proficiency in Kroll
  • Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy
  • Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Effective organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Previous experience in cold-chain distribution an asset
  • Previous experience with biological and/or cytotoxic medication and sterile preparation an asset
