The role of the pharmacy technician is to aid the pharmacist in the production of prescriptions and provide optimal customer service. They are to also participate actively in growing prescription and OTC sales.

What you'll do:

  • Receive customer prescriptions, gather all necessary information, ensure completeness of all information
  • Confirm accuracy and completeness of pharmaceutical products prepared for release
  • Preparation of prescription labels, affixing prescription and auxiliary labels to prescription container
  • Maintaining perpetual inventory system in Kroll
  • Maintain customer privacy & confidentiality
  • Help Ideal Protein dieters lose weight (training will be provided to receive coaching certificate)

What you’ll need:

  • Registered pharmacy technician certification and maintained registration with the appropriate college (mandatory)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Community Pharmacy (mandatory)
  • High level of professionalism
  • Leadership and organizational skills
  • Experience with Kroll System
  • Ability to effectively communicate one on one and over the telephone with coworkers, suppliers, physicians and customers
  • Ideal Protein Weight Loss Coaching Certificate is an asset

Requirements:

Duties:

  • Perform the role of a pharmacy technician in accordance with current legal, ethical and professional standards.
  • Incorporate knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences to provide optimal pharmacy services.
  • Prepare pharmaceutical products safely and accurately using a variety of distribution systems.
  • Perform drug purchasing and inventory management duties.
  • Use technology applicable to pharmacy practice.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs.
  • Perform administrative functions to support the operation of the pharmacy.
  • Communicate effectively in the workplace.
